As if I haven’t got enough on my plate – what with juggling work and a 16 month old diva – I’ve decided to make my own Advent Calender.
It’s all part of my ongoing quest to be the perfect mother and assuage the constant Mother Guilt Complex that nags at the back of my mind.
The thing is, I’m a bit crap at making things. Take this homemade peg bag for example:
So it was a bit of a relief to be given a Button Bag, do it yourself, Advent Calender to be my guide in this latest project. (Before we go any further, this isn’t a sponsored post. And I’ve not been given this to review. It really was a present – thanks Granny from the North.)
I’ve still got a way to go, but unlike the doomed peg bag, I don’t have an indefinite amount of time to finish this creation. Clearly December 1st is my cut off point.
So if you don’t hear from me for a while, you know where I’ll be:

I suppose if it all goes tits up, I can just stuff it with chocolate and still win those elusive Mum Points?

I love that site! I always find cool sites on your blog, just asked Dad2babyinsomniac if he would buy me one but he said no because I would get bored and give up, he had a fair point. Your peg bag is on another level! You should sell them! X

I think I’d have to pay people to take the peg bags off my hands! It’s a constant source of amusement for the NLM. Let’s hope the Advent Calender is more successful. x

It’s a Button Bag one. They sell them in various boutique type shops or you can get them online – I’ve put the link in the post. x

They sell them in John Lewis too, I always see them there and wish!
Very jealous!

Ooo good luck – I once tried to make one from just dard myself – a ruddy disaster!
Love the idea of making one from a kit through – will go and take a lookie.
And that peg bag is not bad at all – you should see the snake I made – I swear to you it has a square head – square?!

I’m all for the kits. Especially after the peg bag disaster.

Ah man that looks so much easier than the one I am attempting to make from scratch at the moment… quite where i’m going to find the time with 3 kids, work and visitors I haven’t a clue! But pop over to see my version in about 2 weeks and take a look! I’d love to see your’s once completed!
Good luck!
