There’s something really cool about vlogging, which I think only just clicked for me over the past few months. Like blogging, it’s an opportunity to create something that’s totally your own, capture memories and connect with other people online. But I also really love the whole process of making a video. Perhaps it’s the frustrated former radio presenter in me, but it’s fun being on film – and my kids seem to feel the same (for now).
Seeing as yesterday was such a big day in our house I wanted to make a video to share, but also for the girls to look back on when they’re grown. Some of the shots are wonky, the lighting isn’t always perfect, there are no drone shots capturing our life from above and I most certainly don’t have a make-up team on hand for touch-ups in between filming. But it’s still perfect, because it’s our ordinary, real and often chaotic life as it is now. It’s the kind of video I love to watch as a YouTube viewer, so maybe it might be the kind of thing others might like to see too.
Anyway, here it is. Happy Birthday to my baby girl (who I’m going to continue to call “baby” until she’s at least 18).

Aww how is it that it feels like no time since we were waiting for these babies to be born and now they’re two!! It’s a lovely video and a fabulous birthday- it cracks me up that she wanted to wear all her new clothes at once!!

Oh wow I really cannot believe she is two – I remembering reading the posts of when she arrive and those early weeks and cannot believe how fast time is flying by. Loved watching the vlog, super cute 😉

I love your vlogs! I think you can tell that you have radio presenting experience but there’s obviously a flair as your girls are so natural on camera too x
Molly says
Ah thank you Lottie! Yes they’re both almost too comfortable on camera – keep trying to steal my limelight! Ha!
