Fish tacos are very appetising, delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. It is a very easy recipe for family gatherings and events. These tacos are loaded with fresh vegetables, white meat, and creamy hot sauce.

This recipe is both time- and budget-friendly as it requires less cooking time and readily available ingredients. Cayenne pepper is used in this dish for its hot spicy flavour. Ingredients

For slaw

Shredded red cabbage (1 cup)

Shredded green cabbage (1 cup)

Chopped jalapeno (1 medium)

Chopped cilantro (1/2 cup)

Ground cayenne pepper (1 teaspoon)

Ground cumin (1/2 teaspoon)

Lime juice (2 teaspoons)

Vinegar (2 tablespoons)

Honey (1 tablespoon)

Sea salt (to taste)

For fish taco sauce

Mayonnaise (1/2 cup)

Sour cream (1/2 cup)

Lime juice (2 teaspoons)

Sriracha sauce (1 teaspoon)

Minced garlic (2 cloves)

Sea salt (to taste)

For fish tacos

Codfish (11/2 pound)

Olive oil (1 tablespoon)

Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)

Paprika (1 teaspoon)

Onion powder (1 teaspoon)

White pepper (1/4 teaspoon)

Sea salt (to taste)

Toasted tortillas (6 to 8)

Directions

Directions

1. Take a large bowl and add red cabbage, green cabbage, cilantro, lime juice, cumin powder, vinegar, and honey. Season it with salt and cayenne pepper.

2. Roast the chopped jalapeno in a skillet for a minute and add it to the same bowl. Toss the ingredients well. Set it aside to marinate.

3. Take another bowl and add mayonnaise, sour cream, lime juice, Sriracha sauce, minced garlic, and sea salt. Whisk it until well blended. Set it aside.

4. Add garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, white pepper, and sea salt in a small bowl. Also, add in the codfish slices. And mix it well until the fish slices are fully covered with the ingredients.

5. Now take a saucepan and add olive oil to it. You can also use butter as a substitute. Heat the oil at medium heat and add the fish slices. Cook the slices for 5 to 6 minutes. Flip the slice and cook the other side as well until it becomes golden brown. Transfer these cooked fish slices to a plate.

6. After that, warm the tortillas in a skillet. You can also heat the tortillas in an oven by wrapping them in aluminium foil and baking them for 10 minutes at 300°C.

7. Now arrange the tortillas on a serving tray or flat plate. Add the cooked fish slices to it. Then add cabbage slaw to each tortilla and drip the creamy sauce over it at the end. Add hot Sriracha sauce over it as well.
