My sister a mum to a 14 and 8 year old always told me she chooses her battles hence why her 14 year old dyed his hair blonde and wore an earing for the summer. I never knew though that I had to start using this advice from when he was SO young! go figure. As for a toddler not wanting to leave nursery? Been there too and I was trying not to cry while he cried!
