After all, whether you’re a mom on the go or a young professional, bags and purses make an impact on what we can carry with us! Different styles will suit different people. What’s currently in fashion, then?
If you want to learn about the top ten latest styles of bags, purses, and clutches, stay tuned. We’ll be covering all of that and more here today! You can also check out pages like this one to keep up with trends.
1. Large and Slouchy
Chances are, you’ve heard of these. They’re often called oversize totes or “hobo” bags, but they’re quite fashionable! They usually have large interiors and soft, relaxed shapes.
One thing that’s quite notable about them is that they combine form and function. While looking sleek and trendy, they still provide women with plenty of space for their everyday items. Wallets, keys, and much more can fit easily.
They can also come in a ton of different fabrics. Leather, canvas, and fabric are all options, including for luxury brands. Perhaps the biggest draw here is the versatility, though.
These bags can fit with just about any outfit. Let’s face it, that can eliminate a lot of stress!
2. Buckets
Another larger bag, buckets are cropping up more and more this season! We’ve seen a lot of them in fashion shows early in 2025, and they show no sign of leaving any time soon.
Typically, they have a circular shape and taper up at the top. There’s also a drawstring on most of them to keep them closed. This is usually seen in purses rather than in clutches and handbags. Still, they’re versatile and usable.
Again, they can come in many different materials. From synthetic fibers to leather and canvas, you can find one to match just about any aesthetic. They’re particularly nice because they tend to have adjustable straps.
Finally, they’re spacious without the bulk of some other options. That alone makes them appealing to a lot of women out there.
3. Padded and Puffy
At first, this might seem strange. However, there are plenty of examples of this style. You can see it with Verano Hill Bags, Clutches, Purses & Jewelry and other luxury brands. As the label suggests, they usually have a soft, cushioned appearance.
Quilt, padding, and a plush texture are the signatures of this style. Now, that probably won’t suit everyone’s taste. However, if you like to be a little out there with your styles, it could be something you want to check out!
4. Oversized Clutches
You can probably start to see a trend here. Larger bags are definitely in style right now! Oversized clutches are another one that joins our list.
They’re built like clutches but are the size of a larger purse or bag. They can be quite elegant. However, just keep in mind that they don’t have straps – hence being a clutch. That could make them unwieldy in certain settings.
5. Straw Fringe
Straw fringe purses are stylish accessories made primarily from straw or woven materials. Fringe is something we’ve certainly seen make a return in 2025. Typically, we’ll see fringe details along the edges or body of the bag.
What makes them so popular? Well, the unique texture is one part of it. The Bohemian flair they bring to the table is also quite appealing to a lot of consumers.
6. Doubling Up
With this trend, we’ve seen a lot of women start to carry two bags. One larger one, and one smaller one! Often, they’re in contrasting colors.
This adds some fun and whimsy to any look! Of course, there’s also the matter of having extra storage. Again, it might not be for everyone, but it’s definitely cool to see!
7. Adding Charms
Most of us remember the golden age of charm bracelets. For a lot of us, they’re still really popular. What if we started expanding our horizons, though?
Many women have started adding unique charms to their luxury bags, purses, and clutches. Talk about adding flair, right? It definitely adds some personalization to our outfits.
Another nice thing is that you can barely feel the weight of the charms when you put them on your bag. Chances are, you wouldn’t even notice! The fact that you can add anything that you want makes this spin on luxury high on our list.
8. Crochet
Crochet is making a huge comeback in 2025. Now, you may see it called “raffia.” Really, though, this look is best known as crochet for most of us.
The cool thing is that a lot of designers have started using more than just woven fibers. Now, you can find woven leather or canvas that make up a bag. The look is quite appealing and different than the others we’ve mentioned.
That said, you can also find them in all the styles we’ve already discussed. Again, that’s something that lands this pretty high up for us!
9. The “Doctor” Bag
Shifting gears again, another huge trend are large, rectangular bags. A lot of folks have started calling them “doctor” bags because of that shape. Usually, they’re made of leather (or vegan leather).
They’re quite sizable, which is part of the appeal. Most luxury brands have at least one of these as we move further and further into 2025.
10. Soft Touch
The last style we’d like to mention are ones that are soft to the touch in a different way: suede! While it can get scuffed, a lot of women are embracing that retro feel to them.
We’ve seen them cropping up in fashion shows and luxury stores a lot more often lately. It’s hard to deny the appeal of the fabric, too – it’s quite luxurious feeling!
